PRESENT TENSE

Writing in the Present Tense

While working on my ebook novella, AVANTI,  I enrolled in a screenwriting class. That’s when I tried out Present Tense narration. Then a segment from my novella was enacted by a trio of actors standing right there in front of me. They were all excellent actors and nailed their parts, which totally blew me away. Just imagine — your characters standing there in real life speaking their lines.

Now I’m writing everything in the Present Tense.

So give it a try. It could work for you, too.
Cheers and Happy Writing!

Writing in present tense creates makes the reader feel like they’re experiencing the action of the story as it’s happening. This helps the reader to feel more immersed in the story than if it was told in past tense.
